Accounts Receivable Specialist II
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Momentum is seeking a entry level Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist II. The AR Specialist II will perform a variety of billing and payment-processing tasks to ensure accurate and timely invoicing in accordance with Regional Center service contracts. This AR Specialist II is responsible for applying cash and electronic payments to AR sub-ledgers, posting monthly charges, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintains client trust account ledgers. The position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with accounting terminology, and the ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems.

AR Specialist II Essential Responsibilities:
- Reviews monthly client census data and supporting documentation; research and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversees Regional Center billing processes, ensuring accurate data entry and timely invoice submission.
- Manages transportation and day program census reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintains client billing records and subsidiary ledgers; assists in resolving payment discrepancies.
- Supports accounts receivable functions, including reconciliations, retro-billing, and documentation management.
- Maintains Regional Center authorizations and track expiration dates; communicate updates to leadership.
- Generates financial and census reports using Excel and other reporting tools.
- Assists with audits, government reporting, and state program invoicing (e.g., ICF/DD, QAF).
- Provides general administrative and departmental support as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and business needs.
AR Specialist II Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- AA and/or BA degree, highly preferred
- Three (3) or more years of work experience in all accounting functions, especially accounts receivable, medical billing, and reimbursement process
- Valid CA driver license and reliable personal transportation; required
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English
- Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, lift up to 25 lbs., and transfer individuals
