Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
Momentum PTN is currently hiring a full time Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for our Torrance and Long Beach, CA locations.
Momentum PTN has a rich history in the South Bay community as a dedicated and forward-thinking not-for-profit clinic for children with a variety of needs. Our multi-disciplinary clinic is designed to provide our speech pathologists with the opportunity to experience collaboration on a whole new level. Our therapists can work in a variety of programs including, but not limited to, early intervention programs, AAC development, Early Head Start, Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Bilingual teams, Social Skills groups, University Partnerships and Student Mentoring, Summer Programs and Parent Training. We also have opportunities for career growth including supervisory roles and program leads for those therapists looking to take on more. Our clinic has multiple treatment gyms, treatment spaces and a warehouse full of toys ready to use. Our speech department is excited to bring on new clinicians to our team to further our mission of treating children of all abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing assessments and treatment appropriate to the needs of children and their families
- Effectively communicating with staff, parents, teachers and community partners
- Promoting a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment
- Respecting and promoting the rights of individuals
- Tracking upcoming reports due based on the funder
- Completing documentation in a timely fashion, including daily notes in Raintree, and progress reports
- Collaborating with other service providers, including, when appropriate, other therapists and classroom teachers
- Performing other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs
Education and Experience:
- Master of Arts or Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA approved university; required
- License in Speech-Language Pathology from the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board; required
- Meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, granted by the American Speech-Language Pathology; required
- Strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Minimum of one (1) year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology; preferred
- CPR/First Aid certified

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Possess sufficient patience and understanding to approach and effectively communicate with people regarding their wants and needs
- Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
Requirements:
- Must maintain valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California
- Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, drug screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
