Senior Regional Director of Programs

Momentum is hiring a Senior Regional Director of Programs to oversee group homes in Santa Ana, Buena Park, Lomita, and selected locations in the San Fernando Valley. The Senior Director of Program Services works directly with the operations department and; assists and coordinates all aspects of placement for individuals obtaining services and support.

 Senior Regional Director of Programs Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures the Momentum strategic plan is followed and meets program goals
  • Supervises Directors of Program Services team and completes annual performance evaluations
  • Builds and maintains effective partnerships internally, with Momentum Department Teams and Board Members, and externally, with governmental and non-profit agencies, including DDS, CDPH, and the Regional Centers
  • Partners with Operations team and nursing supervisors to ensure clinical standards and practices are adhered to in the homes
  • Works collaboratively with Human Resource Department to ensure all labor laws, policies, and procedures are followed
  • Ensures Finance Department is provided all relevant information to help keep budget, rate, census, vendor, and licensing information current 
  • Works with Finance Team including CFO and local administration in budget development, fiscal monitoring, and timely completion of documents related to census, billing data, appropriate revenue opportunities
  • Develops, reviews, and recommends departmental policies and procedures; ensures consistent implementation, evolution, and improvement of to ensure efficient process flow
  • Develops and maintains pertinent knowledge related to the organization, program, people served, and staff including, but not limited to the Lanterman Act, Title 17, Title 22, applicable areas of the California Code of Regulations, applicable California Welfare and Institutions Codes, Regional Centers, California Department of Public Health, and the Department of Developmental Services
  • Assist in training new and current staff, as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

Senior Regional Director of Programs Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, required 
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, required 
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a supervisory role, required 
  • Previous experience working in Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF), highly preferred 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and organizations
  • Competent in multiple technology platforms including, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

Requirements: 

  • Ability to work additional hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call 
  • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, insurance, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
