Schedule Available: 

  • Monday through Friday
  • Varying hours, between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Position includes rent free, 2 bedrooms + 2-bathroom apartment, in secured building. 

Momentum is hiring an Onsite Resident Manager B (RMB) for our Culver City location. As an Onsite Resident Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of the 13-unit apartment building, which provides affordable housing for tenants with disabilities. 

The Onsite Resident Manager will provide an inclusive experience to tenants, guests, support staff, and vendors, resolve issues and concerns. Hands-on maintenance skills are required for this position.

 Resident Manager Essential Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots maintenance issues and completes repairs involving lighting, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement; perform preventive building maintenance duties, routine plumbing and lighting repairs; repair and replace door knobs or locks, door closures, and patch holes in walls; and paint and refurbish as necessary
  • Completes general upkeep and maintenance, as scheduled and needed
  • Arranges and monitors work being performed by outside contractors. Assures safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines
  • Collects rents and ensures rent is collected and submitted to Momentum in all supervised buildings
  • Works with management and tenant support staff to proactively resolve tenant issues and concerns
  • Addresses lease violations and counsels tenants regarding lease compliance
  • Completes and submits paperwork as assigned and required
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

 Resident Manager B Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities
  • One (1) to three (3) years building maintenance experience and property management experience; required
  • Experience working with disabled or special needs populations; preferred

 Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Hands on experience involving lighting, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement; perform preventive building maintenance duties, routine plumbing and lighting repairs; repair and replace door knobs or locks, door closures, and patch holes, etc. 
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues with structures, vehicle operations, and power tools; preferred 
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with cleaners, pesticides, and disinfectants in a safe manner; preferred
  • Ability to assess daily workloads and materials necessary to complete tasks and make independent decisions while unaccompanied

Requirements: 

  • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, insurance, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
