Behavior Management Assistant
Momentum is hiring a Behavior Management Assistant. Behavior Management Assistant is responsible for assisting the behavior analyst, providing direct support, positive direction, and assistance to persons supported. The Behavior Technician will conduct, evaluate, and support the implementation of behavior plan strategies; and assist in the implementation of individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and center-based programs as indicated by the needs of the persons support.

Behavior Management Assistant Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides 1:1 ABA services to persons supported based on persons supported wants and needs
- Meets weekly with Behavior Analyst and notifies them immediately of issues impacting the individual’s progress and satisfaction
- Designs and/or implements behavior modification intervention services under the direct supervision of a behavior management consultant
- Provides feedback and insight to clinical team regarding persons supported support plan
- Assists people in achieving their personal goals and desires, providing interaction and choices for activities that support a meaningful day, and supporting people to be independent in activities of daily living.
- Responsible for documentation on the daily activities of the support plans and goals. Reports and/or documents routine and unusual events according to regulatory and program guidelines in a concise, understandable, and legible manner
- Ensures that people exercise their rights and that rights are not restricted without due process, ensuring people are treated with dignity and respect
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet departments and/or business needs.
Behavior Management Assistant Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree along with A or B:
- (A) Twelve semester units in applied behavior analysis and one year of experience in designing and/or implementing behavior modification intervention services; or
- (B) Two years of experience in designing and/or implementing behavior modification intervention services. And registered as either: 1. A psychological assistant of a psychologist by the Medical Board of California or Psychology Examining Board; or 2. An Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker pursuant to Business and Professions Code, Section 4996.18.
- One (1) year of experience as a Direct Support Professional or experience working with people with developmental disabilities; highly preferred or as required by regulations
- Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
